Texas Left Me Out
Texas Left Me Out campaign is a campaign in English and Spanish to collect stories from Texans left in the coverage gap and connect them with available health care options and efforts to fix the Texas coverage gap. Texans Together is excited to be a member of the coalition keeping the pressure on our leaders in Austin to expand Medicaid and make sure every Texan has access to quality, affordable health care.
What is the coverage gap?
Under the nation's health law, every person was supposed to have a way to get health care coverage. People with low incomes would get Medicaid as long as their state leaders agreed. But since Texas said NO, now many Texans are left in a coverage gap. The coverage gap includes veterans and their spouses, as well as workers in construction, child care, health care, retail, restaurant, and service industries.
Here are a few ways you can stay involved and participate in the Texas Left Me Out campaign launch:
Your help is crucial in spreading the message around our state that all Texans deserve a way to get affordable health care coverage. Thank you!
