Speciality Clinics and Programs
The Volunteer Healthcare Clinic (VHC) provides the following speciality services:
Specialty Care
The Clinic conducts a Dermatology clinic on the 3rd Wednesday evening of the month beginning at 6pm. You can call us to make an appointment or be added to the waitlist.
VHC is fortunate to have other specialists available at the Clinic during our evening clinics on Tuesday/Thursday evenings. These include gastroenterology & rheumatology. Please call to find out when these specialty services are available & how to obtain an appointment or be placed on the waitlist.
Mental / Behavioral Health
The Clinic can assist patients suffering from mild depression and/or anxiety. Psychiatry services and medication management are available by appointment. The Clinic cannot provide prescriptions for controlled substances. Generally, you will be referred for these services through our Tuesday/Thursday clinics.
Limited Physical Therapy
The Clinic provides a stretching and exercise program that focuses on non-prescription remedies for pain. Individuals can access these services once they become a patient of the Clinic. Generally, you will be referred for these services through our Tuesday/Thursday clinics. Physical therapy is only available once a week on Wednesday afternoons.
Pharmacy & Lab
The Clinic maintains a Class A Pharmacy that carries common generic medications available to VHC patients. The Clinic does not carry, dispense or write prescriptions for controlled medications.
The Clinic also has an on-site laboratory to perform routine testing that is ordered by our Physicians and Practitioners.

Social Service Referrals
If you should need resources for other health and human service providers and basic needs organizations, the Clinic has information available and staff and volunteers able to answer any questions. You may also email Andrea Martinez, Program Director, for assistance at amartinez@volclinic.org
Nutrition Counseling
Existing patients who are at risk for diabetes, hypertension and/or overweight are offered appointments with a dietitian. During these one-on-one consultations, patients are given healthy eating habits, diet suggestions and follow-up appointments.

- Emergency Care
- Routine Physicals
- Immunizations (limited to flu vaccines for established patients, call us for more information)
- Gynecological or Obstetrical Care (including pap smears)
- Pregnancy Testing or Prenatal Care
- Medical Care for pregnant women
- Severe Mental Health illness including: schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, ADD-ADHD, personality disorders, severe depression or severe anxiety
- STD testing or STD treatment (limited, call us for more information)
- Dental Care
- Cancer screening or treatment
- Surgery
