The Volunteer Healthcare Clinic (VHC) provides the following services:
Whether you have a headache, cold or cough, allergies, asthma, diabetes, hypertension or other common sickness, the Clinic can provide care during the Tuesday/Thursday evening clinics. This includes any related services, such as lab testing, imaging services and prescriptions that may be ordered by the physician/Practitioner.
Monday evening are reserved for the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) program. Treatment for Diabetes, Hypertension and Endocrine disorders are by appointment only. With-in this program, patients receive nutrition counseling, ophthalmology consults, diabetic podiatric exams, and routine lab testing, in addition to medical supplies and medications. Appointments are made only for patients that have been enrolled in the program after being seen first during a Tuesday or Thursday walk-in Clinic.
The Clinic can assist patients who suffer from minor depression and minor anxiety. Counseling services and some medications are available on a referral basis. The Clinic cannot provide controlled substance prescriptions.
The Clinic provides a stretching and exercise program that focuses on non-prescription remedies of pain issues; individuals can access these classes once they become patients of the Clinic.
The Clinic conducts a daytime pediatric clinic once a month from May - September. Appointments for sports physicals and well-child exams are available as well as acute/primary care for general medical problems. Patients must be pre-scheduled and must call to make an appointment.
The Clinic maintains a Class A Pharmacy, carrying common generic medications available to VHC patients. The Clinic does not carry, dispense or write prescriptions for controlled medications. The Clinic also has a laboratory to perform routine testing that is ordered by the physicians and practitioners.

VHC is fortunate to have various specialist services available at the Clinic. These include; allergy, dermatology, rheumatology, nutrition consults, gastroenterology, cardiology and internal medicine. Please call to see when these specialties and sub-specialties are available at the Clinic.
Existing patients who are at risk for diabetes, hypertension and/or overweight are offered appointments with a dietician. During these one-on-one consultations, patients are given healthy eating habits, diet suggestions and follow-up appointments.
While the Clinic is able to provide many services, the following is a list it does not provide:
